Fendt

In 1930, the Fendt brothers began building tractors in a blacksmith's shop in Marktoberdorf, Germany. Their first model was a 6 hp tractor designed to enable small and medium farmers to afford to replace their horses. The program of production of these tractors was given the name 'Dieselross' (Diesel horse). Over the next 75 years, Fendt would remain at the cutting edge of technological innovation and design in agricultural equipment.Fendt 900 with trailer

Since the premiere of the legendary 926 Vario in 1995, the Vario 900 range has been a symbol for ground-breaking innovative power in high horsepower tractor design and is the most successful high horsepower tractor range in Europe.

Today, farmers and agricultural contractors alike are confronted with growing field sizes, disproportionately increasing transport distances and rising cost pressures. Fendt has the answer to the challenges of the future: the new high horsepower 900 Vario tractor range. The new 900 Vario offers powerful, time-saving and cost-oriented technological solutions for field and road applications, all in one package

Today, the current model range, called 'Vario', continues Fendt's enviable reputation for quality, reliability, and technical excellence. From the Vario 200 to the 366hp Vario 936 TMS, Fendt has maintained the guiding philosophy laid down by Hermann, Xavier and Paul Fendt, 'impress the customer with new technical solutions, profitability and reliability'.

Fendt was the first to introduce such innovations as the multi-gear, close-ratio gearbox, turboshift, hydropneumatic cab, front-axle suspension, and all-round visibility via an under-floor engine, introduced in the 380 GTA-Turbo. Lately, it has added automatic levelling to the front-axle suspension, and the GPS-linked Auto-Guide system.

In addition to its tractors, Fendt manufactures combines, and both square and round balers, all of which incorporate many unique technical features.
